Corrections & Updates Policy

Our commitment to technical precision means prompt, transparent corrections whenever errors or calculation glitches are identified.

"ToolifyHub operates under an open engineering reporting model. If an error, math variance, or outdated formula is found, we investigate and resolve it immediately."

1. How We Investigate Error Reports

When a user or developer submits a bug report or factual correction:

  1. Triage & Reproduction: Our engineering team attempts to reproduce the reported calculation variance or bug locally in a sandboxed test environment within 24 hours.
  2. Code & Spec Verification: The underlying algorithm is verified against authoritative primary specs (e.g. NIST, IRS tax brackets, W3C standards).
  3. Patch Deployment: If verified, a patch is committed to our repository and verified via `npx tsc --noEmit` and production build prerendering before deployment.
  4. Correction Logging: Material corrections are noted with an updated `last-modified` timestamp on the affected tool or policy page.

2. Correction vs Normal Update Policy

We clearly distinguish between minor routine updates and formal corrections:

  • Substantive Correction: Fixes a calculation error, mathematical inaccuracy, or misleading technical statement. Date modified is updated immediately.
  • Routine Maintenance: UI styling tweaks, performance optimizations, or typo fixes. These do not alter underlying calculation integrity.

*Note: In accordance with Google Search Essentials guidance, we never alter publication or review dates merely to artificially convey page freshness.
